THE ART MARKETER - Marketing Strategies for the Creative Class
THE ART MARKETER
Who We Are:
I have been fortunate enough to create an exciting career surrounding my greatest passions in life: art, literature and the people who immerse themselves in each.

From an early age, my parents encouraged my interests in art through lessons, travel and visits to the finest museums, urban centers and galleries available to us. We were collectors and patrons of the arts, fine furnishings, books, and we surrounded ourselves with the interesting and eclectic people that created them. Add to that an important focus on education supporting my understanding and knowledge in all of these pursuits, and I truly benefited from the best this world has to offer. This raised the bar on the standards I now demand for myself and the people I work with, not to mention the success I pursue for my clients.

My studies in Art History at Syracuse University took me to Florence, Italy, where the museums throughout Europe became my classrooms, supported by lectures from the award-winning Art History professors that taught them.

Back home, my early internships and first jobs included cooperative galleries, international art museums, and top auction houses. These experiences were later combined with an editorial job at a national design publication, where I created the feature stories reporting on all I had learned and seen in the world of art & antiques.

An eight year stint as a District Marketing Manager for Borders Group, Inc. introduced me to the world of global retailers and the early stages of e-commerce. Here I handled many of the Companies highest profile events with such personalities as: Hillary Rodham Clinton, Julie Andrews, Emeril LaGasse, Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson, Regis Philbin, Ty Pennington, Bill Wyman and Ashanti, among others.

I worked with major publishers and media outlets on short turn-around times, assuring the best success for each of the events I was charged to handle. These experiences all laid the foundation for that which followed in bringing my career to where it is today.

What We Do:
These days, we continue to build on our past experience and a growing international network of contacts and passions to the benefit of those who employ us.

FOR ARTISTS:
We work with individual artisans helping you to put your best foot forward. From writing your stories, to organizing your materials, and putting together the best marketing pieces showcasing your work, we create the strategies to finding your best success.

We then market your work to a growing network of galleries and art resources around the world. Our success in doing so speaks for itself and for the artists we represent.

FOR GALLERIES:
Galleries provide the additional challenge in finding and targeting the specific markets and collectors they cater to. Through a carefully strategized campaign, incorporating e-marketing, direct mail, print advertising, social networks, participation in the appropriate art fairs, exhibitions and events, we create and execute a plan for the success that will follow.

FOR ART FAIRS:
Our work with the top International Art Show Producers in the World has provided us with great insight and tips for their success. Here again, a carefully strategized plan incorporating the appropriate sponsorships, media partnerships, pricing, marketing techniques and special events add to all the ingredients for success.

We also work in bringing previously unrepresented artists to  appropriate Art Fairs at an affordable cost. This provides exposure for them they may never have had the benefit of before.

FOR NON-PROFITS:
Non-profit organizations provide the additional challenge of utilizing all the creative resources available to them on limited budgets. We have a long history of producing results on limited budgets.

Additionally, we can help plan & execute fund-raising events.

FOR AD AGENCIES & PR FIRMS:
The work we do for ourselves and our clients is easily translated to doing so for ad agencies and PR firms on a contract basis.

FOR MEDIA PUBLICATIONS & OTHER MEDIA OUTLETS:
We are available to create, write and copy edit feature stories, blogs, reviews, newsletters, marketing and promotional materials, press releases, press kits, pitch letters and whatever else may suit your needs.

Additionally, we can work with you to promote your own publications through a targeted marketing campaign employing: e-commerce, direct mail, print ads, social and professional networking.
